La scelta di Flora. Vita di Flora Cocco, la partigiana «Lea»
by Randon Brigida
In 1944, amidst a world torn apart by war, Flora Cocco faced the harsh reality of fascism’s grip on Italy. With Hitler’s armies reinforcing fascist ideals, Flora, like many young people, rejected this oppression and yearned for freedom. After her beloved brother Giovanni was killed in the war, Flora took his place, becoming the partisan ‘Lea’ and commanding the women’s battalion Amelia in the Stella Brigade. This is her courageous story of resistance and sacrifice.
