L’editore presuntuoso

by Ferri, Sandro
L’editore presuntuoso

In this reflection on the publishing industry and his experience as Publisher of E/O, Sandro Ferri addresses the new generations, those who love reading and those who seek to join the industry one day.
Ferri’s tone is controversial, ironic, unapologetic when ranting over marketing, capitalism, trends, the sometimes suffocating and often self-involved literary world. While he condemns the excessive power given to the biggest publishing groups, Amazon’s totalitarianism, but also the vices and vanities of the publishing industry, his reflections are accompanied by frank and often hilarious anecdotes from over forty years of working in publishing from two sides of the Atlantic.
How can a small cultural business survive and thrive in its mission of sharing books, ideas, and emotions with its readers? Ferri has one secret or two to teach.
