L’eredità del sangue

Munich, 1935. In a city increasingly gripped by Nazism, young Wehrmacht Major Thomas von Alberg receives a sealed packet from his father, an aristocrat with close ties to the highest ranks of the Nazi Party. His father gives him a single order: keep it safe without opening it and pass it down to his descendants. Thus begins a chain of choices that will determine his fate and that of those he loves.
Paris and Amsterdam, December 2022. On the same night, an unseen hand massacres newborn babies in two pediatric hospitals, leaving symbols scrawled on the walls in the victims’ blood. The media call it the Massacre of the Innocents, while investigators struggle to find answers. Interpol assembles an international task force led by French Inspector Yvonne Leroy and her Dutch colleague Ian Janssen. In Turin, Inspector Giulio Di Biase, still recovering from the Angel of Death case, is called back to duty. Meanwhile, in Seoul, his friend Park Min-ho receives an assignment from the intelligence services that seems entirely unrelated: find Michelle K, a K-pop idol who has disappeared in Paris.
As investigations converge across continents, old friendships are tested and new alliances forged. Di Biase and Park find themselves pursuing a conspiracy far greater than any single crime, one born when Europe was sinking into its darkest hour.
Nearly ninety years separate these stories. And yet, a thread has never been broken.
