Lo scheletro del pozzo

by Segré, Chiara Valentina
Lo scheletro del pozzo

Alice spends every summer at her grandparents’ old farmhouse in Puglia, and every year she gets terribly bored. Not this year, though: her neighbour, digging a well among his olive trees, has found an ancient prehistoric skeleton. He wants to destroy it without saying anything, but his farmhand takes a photo and shares it on social media. Lots of people rush to take a look, including three children of Alice’s age. Together the children act as guides for an American anthropologist who arrives after hearing the news: they take him to the dolmens of Vecchia Striara, named after an ancient local legend… But the dolmens are smeared with blood! It is said that the skeleton in the well belongs to the old witch and now she will take her revenge. Amidst suspicions and strange events, the children will reveal who is really responsible.
