L’ultimo viaggio di Billie

by Brandoni Reno
L’ultimo viaggio di Billie

Reno Brandoni returns to the illustrated album to give voice to another unforgettable jazz legend, Billie Holiday (1915-1959), accompanied by the exciting illustrations of Chiara Di Vivona. A passionate journey into the deepest depths of the blues, to tell the story of one of the greatest jazz singers of all time.

With her intensely dramatic voice, she embodied the true essence of the blues, imbued with the melancholy and fatalistic despair that characterized her own troubled life. Sixty years after her death, the legend of Billie Holiday is more alive than ever, and Lady Day’s voice resonates with the tragic and wonderful essence of life.
