Among the countless publications on Cardinal Martini — a public figure who lived in the spotlight of both the ecclesiastical and civil spheres at national and international level — this book aims to focus on the accounts of his closest associates, who knew him on a more personal level. The editor has asked each secretary to take part in an interview consisting of around ten questions on very ordinary aspects of the cardinal’s daily life, together with personal assessments and reflections on certain biographical aspects of Martini.
