Ragazza mia. Lettera alle donne libere di domani
by Tamborini, Barbara
This is an important book for girls and an essential one for boys. Because growing up is challenging for everyone. Every day, stepping onto the stage of life and feeling like you belong can be exhausting. To please and to like yourself, to love and to be loved. When your body and mind are constantly changing, it’s easy to feel lost. Lurking around every corner are personal insecurities, social pressures, and unattainable standards. You may find yourself feeling never quite enough or not what others expect you to be. But you are you, with all your imperfections—a unique individual.
Within these pages, you will read the words of many girls and boys like you, who have shared their experiences, dreams, fears, and joys with honesty and courage. Barbara Tamborini will guide you alongside them on this multifaceted and emotional journey toward growth and self-discovery. What she offers is an open-hearted letter from a woman—first a daughter, then a mother—who draws from unforgettable memories to open a window onto a world of opportunities, achievements, confidence, and, ultimately, happiness.
Because the struggles of being a girl (or a boy) today should lead you to the wonder of becoming a free adult tomorrow. Free from prejudice and limitations, from gender inequality, from the manipulations of social media, and from unhealthy relationships. Free to chase your dreams and to nurture, every day, your ability to love.
Free to shine and, in the end, to become exactly who you are.
