Sono Francesco
by Pellai, Alberto, Tamborini, Barbara
Francesco is eighteen years old and has a fire burning inside him. He’s incapable of sitting still for a moment and leads a fast-paced life, hitting nightclubs and dining out with his friends. Thanks to his family, he has no financial worries and can have everything he wants.
But Francesco doesn’t know what he wants. Maybe it’s girls. Maybe it’s motorcycle racing. Maybe it’s just pure fun. But what if it’s something more? Something he can’t see, as he hurtles through the city streets on his racing bike?
It will be the incredible encounter with Father G. that will change everything and push the boy to slow down, to the point of stopping, to observe what is around him. A world made of small and large sufferings, of injustice and loneliness, but also full of people with big hearts, ready to roll up their sleeves to help others.
Thanks to discussions with his friends Chiara and Ruf, Francesco will decide to set out on a journey, walking across half of Italy, to discover what he wants and who he really is.
After the bestselling novel, Ammare , the authors orchestrate a timeless tale, demonstrating that the story of Francis of Assisi is more modern than ever. With courage and mastery, Barbara and Alberto give us a novel in which Francis is a teenager of our millennium. Full of doubts, desires, and passions. Ready to make mistakes, but also to change the world.
