Sette storie per l’anima
by Savini Costanza, Savini Costanza, Savini Costanza‘Seven Stories for the soul’ is a collection of short stories in which the stories and words, if read day after day, following the given order and carrying out the relative exercises, help to set in motion a transformation which is, at the same time, a curative rite.
In different places, times and cultures, words have always played a crucial and at times “healing” role.
In Hindu medicine, meditation on a story or a phrase serves to help overcome emotional disorders and great value is attributed to the ritual repetition of words and syllables. The American Indians tell stories in order to “broaden the mind”, whilst in the context of western culture, language is a gift from God to mankind.
The strength of words cannot be explained away by reason, it is a sort of “shining magic “ which infuses the reader.
