Il cerchio di zero
Un gesto tondo fatto dalla congiunzione tra pollice e indice, è l’unico linguaggio che Zero, gigante buono, sa trasmettere agli uomini. La forma dello zero lo contraddistingue e così lo chiameranno gli abitanti di questa immaginaria città. Incantati dalle sue movenze rallentate e leggere, i bambini si lasciano sollevare in cielo dalle sue lunghissime braccia, mentre i marinai sanno di poter contare sulle sue prodigiose mani per essere portati in salvo dal mare in tempesta. Il gigante generoso e silenzioso partecipa alla vita degli altri e diventa amico fidato di tutti, dimostrando che l’altruismo sconfigge la paura dell’altro e i pregiudizi.
Messaggio: Il cerchio di Zero apre lo spiraglio alla meraviglia per la diversità inducendo ad apprezzare l’infinita ricchezza delle emozioni nei rapporti interpersonali.
Annamaria Gozzi vive in un paese della provincia di Reggio Emilia ed è autrice di libri per l’infanzia. Mutevole e distratta, scrive pezzi di racconti su tanti taccuini sparsi per casa. Ogni tanto ne ritrova qualcuno e ci inventa una storia. Cura con particolare attenzione l’espressione linguistica per rendere più empatica la narrazione e far vibrare intense emozioni.
Eva Rasano è nata a Cagliari, ha frequentato corsi di illustrazione e scrittura creativa, ha collaborato con importanti editori italiani; è stata premiata con il Premio Nati per Leggere e candidata al Premio Andersen 2024. Inventa e realizza molte iniziative e laboratori per scuole, biblioteche, festival grazie alla sua esperienza educativa.
The circle of zero
A round gesture made by the conjunction of thumb and forefinger is the only language that Zero, good giant, is able to convey to others. This shape distinguishes him and so the inhabitants of this imaginary city call him Zero. Enchanted by his slow and light movements, the children let themselves be lifted into the sky by his long arms, while the sailors know they can count on his pro- digious hands to bring them safe home from the stormy sea. The generous, silent giant participates in the lives of others and be- comes a trusted friend to all, proving that altruism defeats fear of others and prejudice.
Message: The Circle of Zero opens the door to wonder at diversity, leading to an appreciation of the infinite richness of emotions in inter- personal relationships.
Annamaria Gozzi lives in a village in the province of Reggio Emilia and is an author of children’s books. Changeable and absent-minded, she writes short stories in many notebooks scattered around the house. Every now and then she finds some of them and makes up a full story. She pays particular attention to linguistic expression to make the narrative more empathetic and to make intense emotions vibrate.
Eva Rasano was born in Cagliari. She has attended illustration and creative writing courses and collaborated with important Italian publishers; she was awarded the Nati per Leggere Prize and nominated for the Andersen Prize 2024. She invents and realises many initiatives and workshops for schools, libraries, festivals thanks to her educational experience.
