Una piccola storia che racconta un momento importante, di complicità e crescita, tra madre e figlio. Silvia Petrucci, palermitana dal 1973 e architetto dal 2001, ha lavorato tra Palermo, Barcellona e Milano, fino alla nascita della figlia nel 2012, quando ha deciso di ritornare a vivere nel capoluogo siciliano. Grande lettrice da sempre, ha iniziato a inventare storie proprio per sua figlia che poi è diventata la prima attenta valutatrice: a finire su carta sono stati solo i racconti che, più degli altri, permanevano nella sua immaginazione e nella sua memoria di bambina.
Chiara Buccheri, nata a Palermo, ha sempre disegnato e forse fare disegni allegri e pieni di colori brillanti è il legame più forte che mantiene con le sue radici. Ora che è diventata madre, il disegno l’accompagna in questa nuova avventura, creandole occasioni di gioco, di svago, di distrazione e anche, paradossalmente, di riposo. “Non sarei più me stessa se fossi un giorno costretta a smettere”, dice.

Born in Palermo in 1973 and an architect since 2001, Silvia Petrucci worked between Palermo, Barcelona and Milan until the birth of her daughter in 2012, when she decided to return to live in the Sicilian capital. Always a great reader, she started to invent stories for her daughter, who then became the first careful evaluator: only the stories that, more than the others, lingered in her imagination and memory as a child ended up on paper.
Born in Palermo, Chiara Buccheri has always drawn, and perhaps making cheerful drawings full of bright colours is the strongest link she maintains with her roots. Now that she has become a mother, drawing accompanies her in this new adventure, creating opportunities for play, recreation, distraction and also, paradoxically, rest. ‘I would no longer be myself if I were one day forced to stop,’ she says.
