È possibile realizzare un albo illustrato con solo dodici brevissime storie, ciascuna di massimo tre pagine? Minibombo ci è riuscita con questo titolo, che propone ai lettori una raccolta di sketch brevi ed esilaranti in un libro che sorprende, intrattiene e diverte fino all’ultima pagina. Un libro da divorare (…letteralmente!) in un lampo!

Silvia Borando è un’autrice e illustratrice italiana nata nel 1986 in provincia di Novara. Dopo la laurea in Design della Comunicazione al Politecnico di Milano, ha lavorato come visual designer presso lo studio TIWI. Nel 2013 ha fondato minibombo, una casa editrice dedicata ai bambini in età prescolare, dove coordina il progetto editoriale. I suoi libri sono stati tradotti in diversi Paesi e hanno ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti di pubblico e critica. Storie brevi è stato finalista al Premio Luigi Malerba, al Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi, al Premio Andersen, al Premio Orbil e al Premio Rodari 2024, oltre a essere entrato a far parte della IBBY Italia Choice nello stesso anno.
Short stories
Is it possible to make a picture book with just twelve short stories of a maximum of three pages each? Minibombo did it with this title, which offers the readers a collection of short and hilarious sketches in a book that amazes, entertains, and amuses right to the last page. Each short story leaves room for reflection on what happened, offering the readers opportunities for exchange and discussion… while having fun! A book to devour (… literally!) in a flash!

Silvia Borando is an Italian author and illustrator, born in 1986 in Novara. After earning a degree in Communication Design at the Politecnico di Milano, she worked as a visual designer at the TIWI studio. In 2013, she founded minibombo, a publishing house for children age 0-6, where she coordinates the editorial project. Her books have been translated into several languages and have received numerous awards. Storie brevi was a finalist for the Premio Luigi Malerba, Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi, Premio Andersen, Premio Orbil, and Premio Rodari 2024, as well as being selected for the IBBY Italy Choice in the same year.
