This board book celebrates children’s autonomy and the experiences that give them the opportunity to try things for themselves. In the vein of Montessori’s philosophy, we see children busy not only playing but also discovering and experimenting. Maria Montessori used to say that play is childrens\’ work and so it is vital to let children play freely with colours, shapes, water, mud, sand, bubble, their own physicality and imagination.
Elisa Mazzoli is an award-winning writer (Verghereto Prize 2005, Giulitto Prize 2014, IBBY International Shelf 2015, Nati Per Leggere award 2018) and author of more than 70 books and songs for children and two manuals for adults. Some of her works are translated abroad.Illustrated by Cristina Petit: writer and illustrator of more than 40 books, translated in numerous languages. She has won the Zanibelli prize and the special mention in Nati Per Leggere 2019.
