Pasolini’s Scritti corsari translated into Albanian
The Italian Cultural Institute of Tirana announces the publication of Shkrime kusare by the Botimet Dudaj publishing house, a translation into Albanian by Erion Gjatolli of the book Scritti corsari by Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Scritti corsari is a collection of articles written by Pasolini between 1973 and 1975, published in newspapers such as Corriere della Sera and in magazines such as Tempo illustrato, Il Mondo, Nuova Generazione and Paese Sera. The book was published posthumously in November 1975, although Pasolini had already revised the drafts for the publisher Garzanti.
The theme of the collection is a critical analysis of Italian society: Pasolini rails against respectability and conformism, which he considers to be the main culprits of the cultural degradation caused by consumer society. As a counter-current observer, the author expresses highly relevant political theses, dealing with social issues at the centre of the main cultural conflicts of the time.
