A woman comes out of a gate. It is that of the prison, where she has spent long years of her life. In there, there has been one story, and outside waiting for Maria there must be another.What direction will her life take now, which imprisonment has broken in half? Maria tries to pick up the thread of her existence with stubborn abandon. Sleeping, eating, working: mundane activities that prove terribly difficult in a world that knows punishment but not forgiveness, that turns a blind eye to creatures on its margins and in which people like Maria simply ‘do not exist’.
