Italian titles in the spotlight at the 2026 Guadalajara Book Fair

A showcase of titles curated by newitalianbooks

To mark the 40th edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair, at which Italy will be the guest of honour, newitalianbooks has created a special trilingual showcase (Italian, English, Spanish) dedicated to new Italian titles in fiction, non-fiction, comics and children’s literature that have not yet been translated into Spanish. In response to last April’s call, more than 60 agents and publishers submitted a total of 400 book profiles.

Each profile includes the book cover, a description of the content, a text extract, a list of awards received and translations already made, press reviews, as wel as the contact details of tyhe rights manager. These profiles collectively offer a highly representative sample of the latest Italian publishing output.

This initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Centre for Books and Reading (Ministry of Culture) and the collaboration of the Italian Publishers’ Association.
