A poignant story for a solo voice.
Captain Pepe Usodimare descends from a line of heroes born from the imagination of Melville, Conrad, or Pratt. In the heart of his cargo vessel that slowly advances towards “the infinite mud beach of Chittagong” where it will be demolished, Usodimare left his crew to deal with a mysterious search: find something that Nenè (a woman connected to him through some bad experiences) had hidden on his boat, the Bahía Inutil. Could it be a treasure or maybe just a love confession?
Usodimare only has the suspended time of that last journey to figure it out. But the course of the old merchant vessel, a mechanical whale where anything could still happen, is filled with unexpected incidents, dangers, mirages, and pirates. There is a destiny to accept, for both the ship and its captain.
