Il canto della foresta. Ayahuasca e medicina sciamanica

The bewilderment from which contemporary man suffers is a consequence of the illusory separation of man from nature. We are full of people around, but lonely. Full of comforts and goods, but unsatisfied. The two authors, psychotherapists and scholars of deep ecology, start from this observation to explain how shamanic medicine, and in particular Ayahuasca, about which we speak and read more and more today, can help. Ayahuasca’s greatest power, sought and feared at the same time, appears to be that of confronting those who are ready and sincerely willing to see the truths of existence. The psychedelic revolution taking place on the border between the scientific and spiritual worlds is finally restoring the dignity of medicine to this and other remedies of the shamanic tradition, after decades of prohibitionism that have severely limited the possibilities of research and use in the treatment of physical illness and psychological suffering.
