Le mie mani sono le tue ali

by Pellai, Alberto
Le mie mani sono le tue ali

After his exploration of the mother-child relationship in Io gomitolo, tu filo, Alberto Pellai offers us a new and evocative story, where the protagonist is a father’s love for his child. The father’s hands, strong, large, with a firm and secure grip, are wings to the child, lifting him high to explore the world. They instill confidence in facing small challenges: learning to ride a bike, to swim, or to sleep alone in his room when darkness is scary. Until the moment when the child, who was once small, becomes a young man ready to live his life, knowing that his father’s hands and embrace will always be there for him. A tender journey of words and images to explore the father-child relationship through the stages of detachment from the nest. A poetic and delicate narrative that tells the special bond that unites every child to their dad.
